- Umhlanga lighthouse - built in 1954, this is an unmissable landmark of the area, standing 21 metres above the beach.
- Hawaan Forest - centuries old, this unique forest boasts indigenous woodland with tropical trees. It is also habitat for a number of animal species and worth a visit for nature lovers and birders.
 - Dolphin Reef - found at Umdloti, just up the road from Umhlanga, this reef stretches for over 2 kilometres. With various sections for diving, the reef is home to a lot of sponges, gorgonians and soft corals.
